Jeanine Ouderkirk has been a private music instructor since 2003. Teaching woodwinds (flute, clarinet, & saxophone), piano, & voice students, there is amazing variety the work and the many performing opportunities for students. All ages and levels are welcome, especially beginning students. Since singing was a completely new venture at age 20, Jeanine is familiar with always being a beginner herself and wants to encourage others to follow their dreams of learning an instrument for the first time! After receiving both Bachelor's & Master's degrees from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in 2008 & 2011 respectively, she began work as a K-8 general music & choir teacher in 2011 at St. Mary's-St. Alphonsus of Glens Falls, NY. Ouderkirk is now moving into her eighth year of classroom teaching and third year at Saint Gregory’s School in Loudonville, NY. Most recently, Jeanine has had the opportunity to be a student of Bobby McFerrin at his Circlesinging workshop at Omega institute (Rhinebeck), and she continues to pass the word along in the form of Circlesinging gatherings and classes.
